It was a beautiful, cold and blustery day in northern Wisconsin. Yet, it proves once again beautiful images can be created without ideal conditions. Thanks to all for toughing it out in the cold. Enjoy the vibrant smiles, the poignant moments.

September. It's a great month for a wedding...and for playing some football! After a beautiful ceremony at Hope Community Church, the wedding party went on a photo safari and played ball outside of the Guthrie. We continued on to the Guthrie's Endless Bridge, wandered over to the Mill City Museum and then back to the yellow Dowling Room at the Guthrie. From there, it was off to the reception at the Atlas Grill and Clubroom. Notice how the colors in the stained glass window shot echo the colors of the flowers against the bridesmaid's dress -- this would make a nice pairing on a wedding album spread. One of my favorite personal subjects over the past few years has been Dean and his brother Dennis. These sheep farmers/ranchers have a beautiful place near Connorsville, WI. Seen here is Dean cutting some hay September 13th. Click here to view more of DCharles Photography.

We made a working vacation out of this family portrait session featuring Adventure Vacations boat captain and guide Mike Simon. We headed into 4 foot waves for several hours before reaching the leeward side of Sand Island. We followed the family on a short hike to the Sand Island Lighthouse, taking some photos along the way. We them returned to kayak the caves and finished with a family portrait in front of the caves. I highly recommend this trip for anybody interested, and would enjoy another trip next year.
